Garmin SB 26019A: GTN Xi Software 21.04

Garmin recommends the GTN Xi update at the next maintenance interval.

Garmin Service Bulletin 26019A introduces GTN Xi main software version 21.04 and recommends compliance at the next maintenance interval for covered non-certified-aircraft installations.

The release corrects the autopilot Approach Mode capture issue described in Garmin Service Advisory 26009, restores RNP information in off-route holds and improves arrival and departure procedure synchronization between GTN Xi and compatible GTN, GPS 175, GNC 355 and GNX 375 navigators.

Garmin identifies the change from version 21.03 as minor under 14 CFR 21.619 and states that the modification is not warranty reimbursable. The update uses a software loader card; Garmin cautions against microSD adapters because they can damage the card slot.

The bulletin is specifically written for non-certified aircraft and does not authorize owner/operator preventive maintenance on FAA-certified aircraft.
